Should you say something when your social dance partner does something you don’t like?

I read this post on one of my favorite dance blogs. This question comes up a lot. Personally, my answer is NO. Nope.  No, way.  I NEVER teach on the dance floor. I do not say anything while I am social dancing UNLESS I feel unsafe AND my non verbals aren’t working. By nonverbals I mean, for example, I will let myself get heavy if I’m being led into something uncomfortable or if my partner is too rough. Or I will break the connection and go into shines. At that point, I don’t care what kind of follow my partner thinks I am, I’m just in survival mode.
